COURSE DESCRIPTION:
When people have suffered trauma and loss, they often feel as if they are all alone in their suffering. Their world has been turned upside down. The solid footing they had before the trauma is no longer solid. Trauma can affect them in many ways—physically, emotionally, cognitively, behaviorally, and spiritually. The best way to minister to these people is by providing one-on-one emotional and spiritual care. It is also known as crisis intervention. The most important thing is that those who provide help and assistance are properly trained so that they do not cause additional harm.
